In Consumer Checkbook Magazine (the local division of Consumer Reports), Accolades Florist was the highest rated flower shop of all of the florists located in the entire Metropolitan Washington, DC area (Summer/Fall 2005 issue).
We have proudly served Woodbridge, Lorton and the surrounding areas since 1990. We are a small, but busy family-owned business with one location in Historic Occoquan, VA and are open and accepting deliveries almost every day of the year, including many holidays.
Providing our customers with a quality product is paramount. We only use the freshest flowers and we don't allow anything to leave our store that isn't something that we would want to receive as a gift. Floral texture and variety are very important to us. Although we can certainly design more basic arrangements consisting of flowers such as carnations and daisies, if given the choice, we much prefer to incorporate a much larger assortment of flowers in a multitude of colors.
It's very important to us that you are happy with your floral order and we are truly dedicated to providing you with the quality service and value that you expect and deserve.

Saturday: 9:00 - 4:00
Sunday: 11:00 - 2:00
Often our hours are extended during certain holiday weeks such as Valentine's Day and Mother's Day. We are open and delivering many holidays including Mother's Day Sunday.

Accolades proudly delivers flowers, plants, gifts and more to the towns of: Dale City, Dumfries, Lake Ridge, Lorton, Mason Neck, Montclair, Occoquan, Triangle, Westridge, Woodbridge, as well as parts of Fairfax Station and Manassas. Although we will not venture onto Fort Belvoir itself, we deliver to the residential neighborhoods surrounding the base which bear the zip code 22060.

Our Substitution Policies
Flowers-
We realize just how important it is that your arrangement is delivered in a timely manner using the freshest of flowers. To achieve this goal, sometimes it is necessary to substitute certain flowers or colors. However, we will take great care to maintain the style and theme of the arrangement by incorporating similar flowers that are of equal value. This policy applies to containers and holiday keepsakes as well.
Regarding floral arrangements consisting of only one type of flower, such as all roses or all alstroemeria, we will do our very best to match the requested color scheme. However, we also suggest including a second and third choice of color preference in the Instructions Field. If no other color options are listed, we will make the decision.
If you choose an arrangement featuring a monochromatic color scheme (example: an arrangement of all orange flowers), please note in the Instruction Field if there is a second choice for color. If no other options are listed and a substitution of color is necessary, we will make the decision.
Plants/Dish Gardens-
If we do not have the green plant that you have chosen in stock, we will substitute with one which is equal in value.
Dish gardens generally consist of a variety of green plants which thrive in low and/or medium light surroundings. Although the presentation may vary a bit from the requested online item, the overall look will be kept.
Fruit Baskets-
We require one day's notice for fruit basket deliveries.
Sorry, but we cannot deliver wine or alcoholic beverages of any kind.
As with floral arrangements and plants/dish gardens, we will do our very best to match the chosen fruit basket, but it may be necessary to substitute with fruit/container of equal value.
Delivery Policy
We will certainly do our best to deliver within a requested time frame, but we cannot guarantee it.
We may call the recipient first to ensure that someone will be there to accept the product.
If it is important that your delivery arrive on a certain day, regardless of whether or not the recipient is home, you may request in the Instructions Field that we leave the product at the doorstep. However, if this option is chosen, Accolades Florist cannot be responsible for the item after the delivery is made. This frees us from all responsibility if the product is stolen, damaged, adversely affected by the weather, attacked by squirrels (trust me, stranger things have happened!), if the recipient is out of town and/or for some reason does not retrieve the product in a timely manner, or if the address provided by the sender is incorrect.
